Explore Central Oregon
A reason to visit in every season.
Walkable downtown mornings, alpine afternoons, summer floats on the Deschutes and first tracks at Mt. Bachelor — Bend rewards you whatever month you land. There's always somewhere to be, and something to do.
Winter
First chair, fresh tracks.
Mt. Bachelor opens in November and runs deep into May. Cross-country trails string the Cascades together, downtown ice skating draws families on weekend nights, WinterFest lights up the Old Mill in February, and there's always a fire pit waiting when you come in from the cold.

Spring
Trails open, rivers run.
Snowmelt fills Tumalo Falls and the Deschutes. The high desert greens up at Smith Rock, wildflowers carpet the trails, and the mountain biking gets very good, very fast.

Summer
Float the river, stay for the show.
Tubes on the Deschutes, paddleboards on Sparks Lake, river surfing in the Bend Whitewater Park, fly fishing the Crooked River, whitewater rafting the Big Eddy, and tee times at Tetherow, Pronghorn, and Sunriver. Big nights at Hayden Homes Amphitheater close it out.

Fall
Golden aspens, empty trails.
The aspens light up the canyons. Smith Rock turns rust and gold. Golf gets quiet and uncrowded, tasting rooms pour the new vintage, and the crowds thin out — quite possibly Bend's most beautiful season.

Bend at the table
After the trail, a long table.
Tacos and a cold beer when you climb out of the river. Wine flights at golden hour. Food-truck lots strung with lights and packed with families. The reward for a day outside is always waiting.
